Alexis Simms is a Detective with the New York Police Department. As of Season 2, she is Taka Matsuyama's new partner. A tough, by-the-book cop who just wants to close her cases and go home to her girlfriend every night, she is annoyed when Taka keeps looking for new angles in the murder case of Annette Morrison, whose husband Sam admitted to killing her, even though he could not recall why he did it.
